Areas where you can help

Empower 225 offers a variety of programs where your skills and interests can make a difference.
You won’t be expected to do all of these tasks; Our volunteer office will work with you to select the ideal placement according to our needs and your skills.

Mentor and Support Youth

Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to help youth navigate their challenges and build confidence. Your support can make a lasting impact on their personal and academic growth.

Assist with Educational Programs

Support our Adult Education Program, Empower Academy, and other learning initiatives by helping with lesson plans, tutoring, and classroom management. Your involvement will help foster a love of learning and academic success.

Event Support

Help organize and run community events, from planning to execution. Your efforts will ensure that our events are engaging, well-organized, and impactful for attendees.

Administrative/Office Support

Assist with clerical tasks, data entry, and office management to keep our operations running smoothly. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be invaluable.

Event Setup and Clean Up

Ensure our spaces are welcoming and ready for events by assisting with setup, breakdown, and maintenance. Your efforts will help create a clean, safe, and inviting environment for all participants.

Street Outreach

Participate in outreach efforts to connect with youth and families in the community. Your compassion and dedication will help us reach those in need and provide them with essential resources and support.

Which Empower 225 Programs need my help?

Empower 225 needs volunteers for:

Transitional Living Program (Anchor House), ELA, Independent Living, Housing, Adoption/Foster Care, Domestic Victims of Human Trafficking, United States Committee for Refugees & Immigrants, Mentoring of Child Victims Programs, Louisiana Children Anti-Trafficking Initiative.

When May I Volunteer?

Volunteer schedules depend on our need in particular programs and your availability. Needs depend on the program.

Please keep in touch with the volunteer office or your program head.

Where May I Volunteer?

Some activities, such as tutoring or cooking, take place at the Empower 225 campus. Field trips to events, workplaces, or other activities might also need volunteer participation.

Please discuss your placement with the volunteer office if you have further questions about your placement into a particular program or any other matter.

How May I Be of Service?

Our volunteer office will work with you to select the ideal placement according to both our needs, skills, and talents.

Contact the Empower 225 volunteer coordinator if you haven’t already participated in our orientation. Your participation as a volunteer follows a successful background check.
