PREPARING YOUNG ADULTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL WORKFORCE EXPERIENCE 

The Employment Program is an 8-Week curriculum that includes four critical components to prepare young adults to obtain and retain successful employment.

  • WEEK 1 ORIENTATION & PRE-ASSESSMENT:
    Introduces candidates to the program and identifies current skills
  • WEEK 2 COMMUNICATION:
    Introduces effective communication skills in the work place that will address appropriate language and conflict resolution
  • WEEK 3 GOAL SETTING/FINANCIAL LITERACY:
    Introduces SMART goals to achieve overall success
  • WEEK 4 ACCOUNTABILITY/ TEAMWORK: 
    Provides guidelines for participants to understand their responsibility and their roles at the workplace

  •  WEEK 5 BUSINESS ETIQUETTE: 
    Discusses Do’s and Dont’s and appropriate behavior at the workplace
  • WEEK 6 INTERVIEW TECHNIQUE:
    Participants review interview techniques following with a mock interview
  • WEEK 7 GRADUATION:
    Participants who have completed program requirements will receive 225 Employment Program certification and incentives
  • WEEK 8 JOB FAIR:
    Recruitment

Sessions will take place in the Spring, Summer, and Fall from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. Registration is required. One class per week. Light dinner is provided. Childcare is provided.
